Mahindra Tech is hiring VLSI Design Verification Engineers in India. This role is a great opportunity for freshers and early-career engineers (2–5 years experience) who want to build a strong career in semiconductor and chip design verification.
About the Role
As a VLSI Design Verification Engineer, your main job is to check and validate chip designs to make sure they work correctly before manufacturing. You will use simulation and verification tools to find and fix issues early, ensuring high-quality and reliable VLSI designs.
You’ll work closely with design, architecture, and validation teams on complex System-on-Chip (SoC) projects.
What You’ll Do
- Create and run verification plans for VLSI designs
- Write Verilog testbenches and use simulation tools to test designs
- Verify interactions between different SoC components
- Work with on-chip and off-chip bus protocols
- Use emulation platforms to build and validate designs
- Debug design issues and identify root causes
- Work with cross-functional teams to align on design requirements
- Document verification results and findings
- Participate in code reviews and improve verification processes
Mandatory Skills
You should have:
- Good knowledge of Verilog and simulation techniques
- Understanding of SoC architecture
- Experience with bus protocols (on-chip and off-chip)
- Hands-on experience with emulation platforms
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
- Basic scripting skills
- Familiarity with Git
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM
- Experience with other hardware description languages
- Exposure to large-scale VLSI or SoC projects
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field - 2–5 years of experience in VLSI design verification
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
