Google is looking for talented Application Engineers to join its team in India. This role is part of Corp Eng (Corporate Engineering) — the team that builds internal tools and systems used by Googlers around the world.

As an Application Engineer, you will design, build, test, and support web applications that help Google’s internal teams, especially in financial planning and analysis.

What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and test internal web applications
- Support financial planning and business processes through software
- Work with business stakeholders to solve complex problems
- Help define technical direction and guide a small group of engineers
- Integrate Google systems with third-party tools and vendor products
- Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain
Minimum Qualifications
You should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar experience
- Experience building and integrating applications
- Experience in Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Ability to design systems and guide technical decisions
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
You’ll stand out if you have:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in finance systems, financial planning, or analytics
- Experience handling large-scale data (millions of events per day)
- Experience with Google Cloud, SAP, or Anaplan
- Experience integrating custom systems with vendor solutions
