Job Role: Junior Software Developer in Test (SDET)
As a Junior Software Developer in Test, you will work closely with developers, business teams, and project managers to deliver high quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Build QE test plans, test strategies and test cases for applications and features
- Work with Developers, BPR and project teams to execute test plans
- Do automation testing, performance testing and code quality testing
- Use tools like:
- Playwright
- Selenium WebDriver
- Cucumber JVM
- Appium
- Postman
- SOAPUI
- JMeter
- Jenkins
- SonarQube
- Perform functional, system, integration and exploratory testing
- Use GenAI models for coding and other testing tasks
- Share testing status and reports with project managers
- Work in Agile environment and handle multiple tasks
- Communicate clearly with team members
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years experience in Software Development Engineer in Test or Quality Engineering
- Good knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Experience with automation and performance testing tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience creating test cases for:
- Web UI
- Mobile apps
- APIs / Web services
- Database workflows
- Exposure to GenAI solutions and AI models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Experience in functional, system and integration testing
- Strong understanding of QE processes, tools and metrics
- Knowledge of automation framework design and architecture
- Experience working in Agile development environment
- Ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines
- Comfortable with frequent context switching
