As a QA Automation Lead, you will play a key role in designing automation strategies, leading testing initiatives, and ensuring quality across applications, platforms, and data systems.
Test Automation Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise-level test automation frameworks
- Develop reusable and scalable automation scripts for functional and regression testing
- Apply Agile, DevOps, and shift-left testing practices to detect defects early
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements
- Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, and results to stakeholders
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot automation issues and perform root cause analysis
Tools & Technologies You’ll Use
- Test Automation: Playwright, Selenium (Java), UFT, Ranorex (C#)
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
- Version Control: Git
- API Testing: Postman, Rest Assured
ETL / Big Data / Hadoop Responsibilities
- Design test strategies for ETL and Big Data pipelines
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Create test plans, test cases, and documentation for data testing
- Automate testing for data transformations and end-to-end data flows
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on large datasets
- Collaborate with data engineers and business teams
- Work with technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Pig, HDFS
- Test ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage
- Validate streaming data pipelines using Kafka
