Job Role: Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE 2) As a Software Development Engineer 2, you will design and build highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems. These systems are used by external vendors and internal Amazon teams worldwide
Key Responsibilities
- Work with business and technical teams to solve cross-system problems
- Design long-term architecture considering future needs
- Develop high quality and maintainable systems
- Take role as technical leader and deliver even in challenging situations
- Mentor and guide other developers in the team

Basic Qualifications
Amazon is looking for candidates with:
- 3+ years professional software development experience
- 2+ years experience in system design or architecture
- Experience in at least one programming language
- Strong understanding of scalable and reliable systems
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with these skills will be preferred:
- 3+ years full software development life cycle experience
- Experience with coding standards, code reviews, testing, and deployment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in distributed systems is plus
