Tesla is expanding its engineering team in India, and we are looking for passionate CAE Analysis Engineers (Crash Structures) to join us. If you are excited about vehicle safety, innovation, and working on world-class electric vehicles, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
At Tesla, crash safety is not just a requirement—it is a promise. Our vehicles are known for industry-leading safety performance, and as a CAE Analysis Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and improving crash structures for next-generation Tesla vehicles.
Why Join Tesla?
Working at Tesla means being part of a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. You will work with talented engineers across the globe, contribute to real products on the road, and see your work directly impact customer safety. This role offers technical growth, global exposure, and the chance to solve challenging engineering problems every day.
What You Will Do
As a CAE Analysis Engineer, you will:
- Build and run CAE models to simulate vehicle and component-level crash performance
- Analyze crash behavior and improve designs for better safety performance
- Work on body structures, battery systems, chassis, closures, and other vehicle subsystems
- Support and collaborate with physical crash testing teams
- Compare simulation results with real crash test data and improve accuracy
- Work closely with design engineers to make vehicles safer and stronger
- Contribute to improving CAE methods and simulation efficiency
You will mainly support teams in the APAC and Europe regions, so some flexibility with global time zones is expected.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for engineers who are curious, hands-on, and driven by impact.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or PhD is a plus)
- At least 3 years of experience as a CAE engineer in the automotive industry
- Experience working on at least one full vehicle development program
- Strong understanding of finite element analysis (FEA)
- Hands-on experience with LS-DYNA and Primer
- Experience using ANSA or Meta for pre- and post-processing
- Knowledge of aluminum, steel, composites, and modern joining methods
- Ability to analyze complex crash scenarios and solve correlation issues
- Good communication skills and ability to work in collaborative teams
- Basic Python scripting knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency in English
